Where our content comes from
Every question, study guide, and "how to get your license" page is built from the public driver manual published by the state DMV (or equivalent agency — e.g. the Texas Department of Public Safety, the New York DMV, the California DMV). We cite the source manual at the top of every state hub.
We do not use leaked, scraped, or unofficial DMV question banks. The real DMV test is confidential; what we offer is practice material based on the same source the DMV uses to write its test — the official driver manual.
How often we refresh
Each state's content is reviewed at least once a year, and again any time the state DMV publishes a manual revision (most states publish a new manual every 1-2 years). The "Reviewed YYYY-MM-DD" badge on each state page reflects the latest verification date for that state. The date is pinned to when we actually fetched the source, not the calendar — we don't auto-bump it.
What we do not do
- No fake reviews or fabricated star ratings.
- No scraped DMV questions.
- No paywalls. No sign-up. No email harvesting.
- No medical, legal, or insurance advice. We cover the permit knowledge test only.
