The Colorado DMV Knowledge Test is a written exam that new drivers must pass to receive a learner’s permit. Here's what you should know:

  • Passing Score: You must answer at least 20 correctly (80%) to pass.
  • Test Duration: No strict time limit, but most applicants finish in under 20 minutes.

  • Eligibility: Minimum age is 15 if enrolled in Driver's Ed, or 15½ with classroom theory.
  • Retake Policy: If you fail, you can retake the test up to 3 times in one year.
